Reef Pure Dual CO2 Reactor
A two-chamber housing that pulls CO2 out of your skimmer's air supply. The Reef Pure Dual CO2 Reactor is a twin 10" x 2.5" canister housing designed to sit inline on a protein skimmer's air intake, so the air reaching the skimmer — and ultimately the tank — has had its excess CO2 stripped out before it can drag your pH down. It ships with pre- and post-filters and the fittings to plumb straight onto 3/8" (10 mm) airline or a 1/2" BSP intake.

Will it fit my setup?
Confirm you have a protein skimmer with an accessible air intake line before ordering — this reactor mounts inline on that airline, not on your display tank plumbing or your RO/DI system. The included adapters cover both 3/8" barbed tubing and 1/2" BSP threaded connections, so it suits most Australian skimmer setups without extra fittings.

- Not suitable for: freshwater tanks without a skimmer, or as an RO/DI stage — despite the Reef Pure RO branding, this unit has no connection to reverse osmosis or deionisation plumbing.
Care and maintenance
Check the pre- and post-filters periodically for debris and rinse as needed. Replace the CO2 media inside once it changes colour fully. Reef Pure doesn't publish a flow rate rating for this reactor — sizing is governed by your skimmer's air draw, not a stated L/h figure.

Does this connect to my RO/DI unit?
No. It mounts on your protein skimmer's air intake line to scrub CO2 from incoming air, not on RO or DI plumbing, despite sharing the Reef Pure RO brand name.
Does it come with media fitted?
No — the cartridges ship empty. You'll need to fill them with a CO2-removal media such as Reef Pure Colour Changing CO2 Filter Media.
What fittings do I need?
3/8" barbed connectors suit soft airline tubing directly; 1/2" BSP-to-barbed adapters are included if your skimmer uses threaded fittings instead.
