Zoo Med Slither Sense Sensor
Add another set of eyes to your reptile room. This is the Slither Sense Sensor on its own — a Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor that pairs with a Slither Sense Gateway you already own, so you can add monitoring to another enclosure without buying a second gateway. One gateway supports up to 200 sensors, so this is how most keepers with more than one enclosure grow their setup after the first Gateway and Sensor pack.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for adding a second, third or further monitoring point to an existing Slither Sense system — another enclosure, or another zone within a large enclosure.
- Not suitable as a stand-alone purchase — you need a Slither Sense Gateway already running before this sensor can report anywhere.
Care and maintenance
Keep the sensor within Bluetooth range of its gateway. Wipe the housing down as part of normal enclosure cleaning; IP66 covers misting and humidity, not submersion.

Do I need a gateway to use this?
Yes. This sensor pairs to a Slither Sense Gateway over Bluetooth — it has no way to reach the dashboard on its own.
How many of these can I add to one gateway?
Up to 200 sensors per gateway, so you can monitor a large number of enclosures or zones from a single hub.
Can I use it in a humid or misted enclosure?
Yes, it's rated IP66 for water resistance, suiting the humidity and misting typical of tropical setups.
