Eheim put the first external canister filter into production in 1963 from Deizisau, Germany, and has made aquarium equipment since 1949. The one Eheim item we currently list is the Everyday Feeder, a battery powered automatic feeder that clips to the tank rim and dispenses flake, granule or small pellet food on a programmable schedule, with a small fan that keeps the food dry between feeds. Small fish that need frequent small meals can be fed properly while you are at work, not just kept alive over a weekend away.
Keep the food chamber dry, since a feeder mounted where the tank light warms it or splash reaches it will clump the food. Test the portion for a few days before you leave, and start with less than you think.
