Their shape lets them interlock into small stacked structures full of gaps and hollows - exactly the seclusion shrimp look for when moulting or carrying eggs.

Suitable for: freshwater and saltwater shrimp aquariums, nano and planted tanks, breeding setups, aquascapers who want a sculptural rather than tube-shaped hide.
Not suitable for: tanks housing fish large or determined enough to hunt shrimp out of shallow, open hollows - the stars offer visual cover, not a sealed refuge.
Setting them up
Rinse under tap water, then interlock and arrange as desired. No cycling or curing is needed - biofilm and fine algae develop naturally on the ceramic surface as the tank matures.
