Blade Low Profile Tank Rest Mount
A flush-fit rest mount that keeps a 12" or 21" Blade bar sitting low and close to the water, right on the tank's own rim. No drilling, no cables — the mount clips onto the side walls of the aquarium and the Blade fixture sits directly on top, which suits shallow, rimless tanks where headroom above the water is limited.

- Flush, no-drop mounting — rests on the tank's own side walls, so the fixture sits at water height rather than hanging above it on cables.
- IP66 water resistance — rated to handle splash and humidity directly over an open tank.
- Extends up to 4.5 in (11.4 cm) on either side of the fixture, for a full footprint of about 9 in (23 cm) — enough to bridge most nano and standard rimless tanks.

Will it fit my tank?
This mount rests on the tank rim itself rather than clamping through glass thickness, so it works on rimmed and rimless tanks alike, provided the tank walls are close enough together for the 9 in (23 cm) footprint to bridge them. Aqua Illumination does not publish a maximum wall-to-wall gap or a weight rating for this mount, so on very wide rimless tanks or heavier multi-fixture setups, check the fit against your own tank dimensions before ordering, or ask us to confirm.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for the 12" and 21" Blade Grow, Glow, Freshwater and Fuge fixtures listed above, on tanks where the rim or side walls can support a flush-mounted fixture.
- Not suitable for 39" and longer Blade bars, or for fixtures from other AI ranges such as Prime or Hydra, which use their own mounting systems.
- Not a substitute for a hanging kit if you want the fixture suspended above the water rather than resting on the rim.

Common questions
Does this mount work on a rimless tank?
Yes — it rests on the tank's own side walls rather than clamping to a rim, so it suits rimless as well as rimmed tanks, as long as the walls are close enough for its 9 in (23 cm) footprint to bridge.
Will it fit my 39" Blade bar?
No. Aqua Illumination lists this mount for the 12" and 21" Blade Grow, Glow, Freshwater and Fuge models only. The 39" Blade uses a different mounting solution.
Can I use this on a Hydra or Prime light instead?
No. This mount is specific to the Blade range. Hydra and Prime fixtures use AI's separate HMS and Prime mounting systems.
Does it come with the light bar?
No — this is the mount only. The Blade fixture is sold separately.
