Fluval 07 Series Spray Bar Kit
Spreads canister outflow along the back glass instead of firing it at one spot.
This is the genuine Fluval spray bar kit, part A234, for the 06-series (106, 206, 306, 406) and 07-series (107, 207, 307, 407) canister filters. It replaces the single output nozzle with a perforated bar that spreads return flow across a wider area, lifting surface agitation without a separate powerhead.
Key features
- Genuine Fluval A234 — the spray bar, extension, connectors and mounting hardware Fluval fits to its own 06 and 07-series canisters.
- Extends 15–30 cm to 76 cm — two perforated sections join to cover anything from a small tank's back wall to a long four-foot run.
- Spreads surface agitation — a line of holes along the bar breaks the surface across its length instead of one jet in one spot, which is what actually drives gas exchange.
- Suction-cup mounted — four cups and clips hold the bar against the glass without drilling or gluing anything.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for reducing dead spots along the surface, softening flow for fry, bettas or delicate plants, and replacing a spray bar that has gone brittle or lost its clips. Not suitable for the 04/05-series or FX-series filters, and it will not increase total flow — it only redistributes the flow the filter already produces.
Care and maintenance
Rinse the perforated holes at each service; a partly blocked bar pushes flow out of the remaining open holes instead of spreading it evenly, which shows up as an uneven ripple pattern rather than a smooth sheet.
Goes well with
- 107/207 intake and output kit — replace the standard nozzle fittings the spray bar connects to
- 307/407 intake and output kit — same fitting for the larger 07-series canisters
Warranty and delivery
Supplied as a genuine Fluval replacement part. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply in full and nothing here limits them. No separate manufacturer warranty term is quoted on moulded accessory kits. Ships as a standard small parcel anywhere in Australia.
Common questions
Will the spray bar reduce my filter's flow rate?
It spreads the same flow over a wider area rather than reducing it, though the extra holes mean slightly less push at any single point compared to one open nozzle.
Can I cut the spray bar to a custom length?
Fluval does not publish a cutting guide for this part, and shortening it isn't something we can confirm is safe without risking a leak at a cut edge — use the two supplied sections at their fixed lengths.
Does this fit the Fluval FX4, FX5 or FX6?
No. The FX-series uses a different, larger output fitting. This kit is for the 06 and 07-series only.
Do I need a spray bar if my tank already has good surface movement?
No — it's most useful where flow is uneven across the tank, or where a gentler, wider return suits the livestock better than a single jet.
