A resin stone wall panel that turns the back of a Fluval EDGE into a rock face, with built-in baskets to root live plants straight into the scape. This is Fluval's EDGE Stone Wall Ornament (Hagen item 12291), a lightweight cast panel roughly 16 x 9 x 19 cm with three integrated plant baskets, designed to sit inside the EDGE Aquarium Kit's distinctive cube-shaped tank.

Will it fit my Fluval EDGE?
The panel is sized for the EDGE's cube-shaped tank and is sold as fitting both the 23 L and 46 L EDGE Aquarium Kit. Fluval doesn't publish an axis-labelled clearance diagram for this item, so if your EDGE is already heavily aquascaped, check the roughly 16 x 9 x 19 cm footprint against your remaining space before ordering.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
- Suitable for: freshwater EDGE aquascapes wanting a rock-wall backdrop with somewhere to root stem or rosette plants without them drifting in the substrate.
- Not suitable for: marine or reef tanks – this is a freshwater aquascaping ornament, and resin ornaments of this type aren't rated as reef-safe.
Care and maintenance
Rinse in fresh water before placing in the tank. The resin surface can be wiped clear of algae with a soft aquarium-safe pad; avoid abrasive scourers, which can dull the stone texture.

Will this fit behind an existing filter or heater in my EDGE?
It's designed for the EDGE's internal proportions, but Fluval doesn't publish exact clearance figures around installed equipment. Measure your remaining space against the panel's roughly 16 x 9 x 19 cm footprint if your tank is already tightly aquascaped.
Can I plant directly into the baskets?
Yes – the three baskets have drainage holes in the base so roots can extend through into the substrate behind the panel, anchoring stem and rosette plants that would otherwise float free.
Is it safe for shrimp and snails?
Cast resin ornaments of this kind are inert and widely used in shrimp and snail tanks. It carries no coating or treatment that would affect invertebrates.
Does it need to be soaked or cured before use, like real rock?
No – it's cast resin, not natural stone, so there's no tannin release or pH effect to settle before adding livestock. Rinse off any dust and it's ready to place.
