Hikari Marine S Pellet-50g
A high-protein, slow-sinking pellet sized for smaller marine fish. Hikari Marine-S Pellet is a daily diet built on fish meal, krill meal and whole crushed silkworm pupae, with a small 1.6–1.8 mm pellet that sinks slowly – sized for marine fish too small to comfortably take the larger Marine-A pellet.
Key features
- Small, slow-sinking pellet – approx. 1.6–1.8 mm, giving smaller fish time to feed at mid-water rather than chasing food to the surface or substrate.
- High protein – 48% minimum crude protein for carnivorous and omnivorous marine species.
- Marine protein base – fish meal, krill meal and whole crushed silkworm pupae, with spirulina and seaweed meal added.
- Colour-supporting – astaxanthin and canthaxanthin included.

Smaller marine fish, and carnivorous or omnivorous marine species generally. A good choice where fish are too small to comfortably take the larger Marine-A pellet.
Not suitable for: larger marine fish better suited to Marine-A's bigger pellet, or as a sole diet for strict herbivores such as many tangs, which need a marine algae-based diet.

Feeding and storage
Feed no more than your fish will consume within about a minute, two to three times each day. Pre-soaking a small amount in tank water for a few minutes can help enhance digestion and colour uptake, though it isn't required. Store the pouch sealed in a cool, dry place and reseal firmly after each use.
Common questions
What's the difference between Marine-A and Marine-S?
Marine-S is the smaller pellet (approx. 1.6–1.8 mm) for smaller fish; Marine-A is a larger pellet for fish over about 10 cm.
Does it float or sink?
It sinks slowly, giving fish time to feed at mid-water rather than only at the surface.
Can I feed this to tangs and other herbivores?
It suits carnivorous and omnivorous marine fish; strict herbivores such as many tangs do better on a marine algae-based diet as their main food.
How much should I feed?
Only what your fish finish in about a minute, two to three times a day – there's no fixed daily amount.
