Radion Single Unit Hanging Kit
One light, straight down from the ceiling, no track. The Radion Single Unit Hanging Kit suspends a single Radion from its own built-in eyelets, using 1.83 m (6 ft) of cable and the hardware supplied. There is no rail and no clamp on the tank, which makes it the simplest way to get one fixture over a rimless display.

Hanging it well
- Find structure – a joist or a batten. A loaded fixture on a plasterboard-only fixing is the failure people write about afterwards.
- Hang it level – a fixture out of level throws more light down one end of the tank than the other, which shows up in coral growth long before you notice it by eye.
- Plan the cable run – the power lead still has to reach a socket, and a drip loop below the fixture keeps water off the plug.
- Leave room to lift – being able to raise the light makes tank maintenance and coral placement far easier.

Warranty and delivery
EcoTech Marine warrant this kit for 12 months from the date of original purchase, and require registration with them within 30 days of purchase for the warranty to take effect. That manufacturer warranty applies in addition to the consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which are not limited by it.

Common questions
Will this hang my G6 Radion?
Published fitment for this kit covers the Radion XR15 and XR30 across generations, and it works by clipping to the eyelet mounts on the fixture rather than to any generation-specific bracket. EcoTech's own listing predates the G6 and does not name it, so if you own a G6 it is worth confirming before ordering.
How long is the cable?
1.83 m, quoted by EcoTech as a maximum of 6 feet. That is the drop from the ceiling fixing to the fixture, so measure from your ceiling to where you want the light to sit.
Do I need an RMS track as well?
No. This kit hangs the light directly and has nothing to do with the RMS rail system. A track is only needed if you are suspending several fixtures together, which is the RMS Hanging Kit's job.
Can I hang two lights from one kit?
No. The kit suspends a single fixture. Two Radions over one tank need either two separate kits, hung independently, or a track with the RMS Hanging Kit so they stay aligned with each other.
How high above the water should it sit?
Higher gives wider, softer coverage and lower gives more intensity in a smaller footprint. EcoTech publish no numeric PAR-at-height figures for the Radion range, so set the height against a PAR meter reading in your own tank rather than to a fixed number.
What weight will it take?
EcoTech do not publish a load rating for this kit. Since the figure is not stated, the ceiling fixing is the part to get right – mount into a joist or batten rather than plasterboard alone.
