Every EcoTech device already talks to the others – ReefLink is what lets them talk to your phone. The EcoTech Marine ReefLink is a WiFi bridge that connects Radion lighting, VorTech wavemakers and Vectra return pumps to EcoSmart Live, EcoTech's free cloud control platform. It sits on your network like a router, links to your EcoTech gear over its own built-in radio, and puts scheduling, dosing integration and live monitoring in a browser or app instead of a row of dials on the tank.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for reef and marine setups running two or more EcoSmart-enabled EcoTech devices – Radion lights, VorTech wavemakers, Vectra pumps – where remote scheduling, dosing integration or off-site monitoring is worth having. Not needed for a single VorTech or Radion run entirely from its own onboard controls with no remote access required; those devices work standalone without ReefLink.
Setup, use, dosing or feeding
ReefLink connects to your home network over WiFi or Ethernet, then links to your EcoTech devices over their built-in RF radio – no additional dongles or adapters. Once connected, scheduling, ramping and dosing integration are managed through the EcoSmart Live web platform from a computer, tablet or phone rather than the buttons on each individual device. An EcoSmart Live account is required to use the cloud features.
Compatibility, spares and supersession
Works with current-generation Radion, VorTech and Vectra hardware, and with EcoTech's dosing accessories where fitted. Older EcoTech devices without EcoSmart Live support won't connect to ReefLink – check your device's own listing for EcoSmart compatibility if you're running older-generation gear.

Common questions
Do I need a ReefLink to use my Radion or VorTech?
No – both run fine from their own onboard controls. ReefLink adds remote scheduling, monitoring and dosing integration through EcoSmart Live; it isn't required for basic operation.
Can one ReefLink control more than one tank?
Yes, provided the equipment on each tank is EcoSmart-enabled and linked to the same EcoSmart Live account.
Does it need to be plugged into my router, or can it run on WiFi?
Either – ReefLink connects over 802.11n WiFi or a direct 10/100 Mb Ethernet cable if you'd rather not rely on wireless reception near the tank.
Do I need to keep it connected to the internet at all times?
No – your Radion, VorTech and Vectra devices run on their own onboard controls independent of ReefLink; it adds cloud access and scheduling on top, not core operation.
