Vectra Impeller
A Vectra running quieter than it used to, or moving noticeably less water, is usually asking for a fresh impeller. This is EcoTech Marine's genuine replacement impeller assembly for the Vectra pump range, sold per pump size as the S2, M2 or L2 impeller. Despite the "2" in the name, each size fits both generations of that pump – an S2 impeller works in an S1 volute as well as an S2, and the same applies across the M and L sizes.
Key features
- Genuine EcoTech part – the impeller assembly EcoTech supplies as a spare for the Vectra range.
- Cross-generation fit – unlike the coupling kit, one impeller per size fits both Gen 1 and Gen 2 volutes of that size.
- Sold per pump size – order the S2, M2 or L2 impeller to match your pump, regardless of whether it's the Gen 1 or Gen 2 version.
- Restores lost flow – the part to replace when output has dropped or the pump has become noisier despite regular cleaning.
Specifications
| Variant | Fits | Part/SKU |

| L2 | EcoTech Vectra L1 and L2 | MPVP151-00145 |
Which one do I need?
Match the impeller to your pump's size, not its generation – an S2-labelled impeller fits both the Vectra S1 and S2, an M2 impeller fits both M1 and M2, and an L2 impeller fits both L1 and L2. This is different from the coupling kit, which is generation-specific and not interchangeable.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for any Vectra S1/S2, M1/M2 or L1/L2 owner replacing a worn or damaged impeller. Not suitable across sizes – an S-size impeller will not fit an M or L pump.
What's included
The impeller assembly for one pump, matched to the variant ordered. EcoTech does not publish a materials or components breakdown for the assembly beyond "impeller" – we're not able to state its internal construction beyond that.
Care and maintenance
How often should I clean or replace it?
EcoTech's own setup guide recommends cleaning the impeller and its housing roughly every six months, or sooner in a heavily-dosed or algae-prone system, using a soft brush and a mild acid soak for mineral deposits. There's no fixed EcoTech-stated replacement interval – replace it when cleaning no longer restores flow or quiet running.
What tools do I need?
EcoTech's disassembly guide covers removing the impeller as part of a routine clean; no specific tool list is published for impeller replacement itself.
Goes well with
- The matching coupling kit for your pump, if you're servicing plumbing at the same time.
- The Molykote wet-side lubricant, for reassembling the shaft and thrust disc after fitting a new impeller.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by EcoTech's standard 12-month manufacturer warranty from date of purchase, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Standard delivery Australia-wide.
Common questions
Does the S2 impeller fit my Vectra S1?
Yes – EcoTech's own listings confirm the impeller is shared across both generations of the same pump size, so the S2 impeller fits an S1 pump too.
How do I know if I need a new impeller rather than just a clean?
Try a full clean first, including a mild acid soak for mineral deposits. If flow or noise doesn't improve afterwards, the impeller itself is the next thing to check.
Will this fit my Vectra M2 if I have the S2 pump?
No – impellers are size-specific. An S-size impeller does not fit an M or L pump.
