Zoo Med is based in San Luis Obispo, California, and was started by Gary Bagnall. In 1993 it made the first UVB lamp for reptiles, the ReptiSun, and its lighting is still the heart of our range: ReptiSun 10.0 lamps, T8 and T5 tubes and hoods, dome and clamp fixtures and a UVB meter. Heating covers basking, infrared and nightlight lamps and a heat cable, with digital and analogue thermometers and hygrometers.
Then the rest of the enclosure: Repti Bark, aspen and desert sand substrates and Excavator clay, hides, hammocks, turtle docks, Repti Rock dishes, calcium, bearded dragon, turtle and hermit crab foods, the Repti Fogger, the ReptiBreeze screen cage and the Reptibator incubator, plus a betta line of hammocks, plants and feeding blocks. Replace UVB lamps on the schedule Zoo Med gives for each one, because UVB output fades well before the visible light does.
