An upright ceramic tower a shrimp can vanish into. The Aquavitro Shrimp Tall Hut is a 3.8 x 4 x 9 cm perforated ceramic hide from Seachem's aquavitro shrimp care range. Its upright shape tucks neatly between plants and hardscape where a low, wide hide wouldn't fit. Shrimp use it as cover straight after moulting, when the new shell is soft, and while carrying eggs.

Suitable for: freshwater and saltwater shrimp aquariums, planted tanks where a tall narrow hide suits the layout, breeding setups.
Not suitable for: tanks with fish slim enough to work through the perforations - the openings that let shrimp pass also let a slim-bodied predator try.
Setting it up
Rinse under tap water, then stand it wherever suits the scape. No cycling or curing is needed - biofilm and fine algae build up on the ceramic naturally over the following weeks.

Will the Tall Hut tip over in a lightly-scaped tank?
Being upright and narrow, it sits more securely nestled against hardscape, substrate or plant roots than free-standing on open sand. Aquavitro doesn't publish a weight figure, so treat placement the same way you would any tall, narrow ornament.
