Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable as the return pump on marine and freshwater sump systems. Flow drops as head rises, so size it against your real lift rather than the headline figure. Not a wavemaker. The SP4 impeller assembly and impeller cover are in our Fluval spare parts collection.
Safety
Mains-powered: run it from an RCD (safety switch) protected outlet with a drip loop (a dip in the cable below the socket so water drips off rather than running into the plug), and never run it dry.
