Deepsee Clear 4" Orange Filter Lens
A press-fit orange lens that turns your DeepSee viewer into a fluorescence filter. The Flipper DeepSee Clear 4 in Orange Filter Lens is a replacement or add-on accessory that snaps onto the front of a Flipper DeepSee Clear 4 in viewer. It blocks blue light, which is what makes coral fluorescent pigments look muted or invisible under standard reef lighting, so pigments that glow green, pink or yellow under blue light show up clearly to your eye rather than only through a camera filter.

Common questions
Does this lens fit the 5 inch DeepSee Clear Max viewer?
No. This is the 4 in size and is made to press-fit onto the 4 in DeepSee Clear viewer specifically. A separate orange lens is sold for the 5 in Max viewer.
Why would I want an orange lens over the clear one?
Coral fluorescent pigments are excited by blue light but hard to see clearly under it, because the blue light itself washes out the glow to the naked eye. The orange lens filters that blue light out, so the fluorescence reads clearly rather than being drowned out by the tank's own lighting.
Does it come with a viewer?
No. This listing is the filter lens only. You need a Flipper DeepSee Clear 4 in viewer already, or bought alongside it, for the lens to attach to.
Is it a permanent fit?
No – it's a press-fit accessory, designed to snap on and off so you can switch between clear and orange viewing without tools.
