Flipper Edge Acrylic Safe Plastic Blades - 10pk
Bulk refill blades for the Flipper Edge, safe on acrylic and glass alike. This 10-pack supplies acrylic-safe plastic replacement blades for the Flipper Edge magnetic cleaner, the standard-size model rated to 12 mm (1/2") of glass or acrylic. Fitting fresh blades restores full scraping power once the edge on the originals wears down or fogs with scratches of its own.

Will it fit my cleaner?
This blade is sized for the Flipper Edge, not the Flipper Edge Max. The two handles are not interchangeable, and a Max blade will not seat correctly in a standard Edge handle. If your cleaner is the larger unit rated to 25 mm (1"), use the Edge Max acrylic-safe blades instead.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for: acrylic aquariums and terraria of any Edge-compatible thickness, and glass tanks where a softer blade is preferred over steel. Not suitable for: the Flipper Edge Max handle, or tanks thicker than the Edge's 12 mm rating - the magnetic pull will not hold securely on the far side.
Care and maintenance
Replace the blade every 3 to 6 months, or sooner if the edge stops lifting algae cleanly. Rinse the blade after use in planted or high-mineral water to stop residue building up along the scraping edge.

Common questions
Can I use these blades on an acrylic tank?
Yes. This is the acrylic-safe plastic blade, designed specifically not to scratch acrylic. The stainless steel version is for glass tanks only.
Will these fit my Flipper Edge Max?
No. The Edge Max uses a larger handle and a different blade size - see the Edge Max acrylic-safe 10-pack instead.
How often should I change the blade?
Flipper recommends every 3 to 6 months for regular use, sooner if you notice reduced scraping performance.
