Insectivore FD Tropical Tablets (Adhesive)
Feeding time you can actually watch. Insectivore FD Tropical Tablets press onto the aquarium glass below the waterline, so tropical community fish gather and feed exactly where you can see them – useful for spotting a fish that isn't eating, not just for the view. Built on hydrolyzed fish protein and mealworm meal, in 50 g and 150 g packs.
Key features
- Presses onto the glass – place the feeding station at any height in the tank
- Fish protein and mealworm meal – hydrolyzed fish protein leads the ingredient list
- Also works as a loose sinking food – drop it in directly if you'd rather not stick it to the glass
- 40% protein – see the full guaranteed analysis below
- 50 g and 150 g packs – 150 g is the better per-gram buy

Feeding directions
Press a tablet gently onto the aquarium glass below the waterline, or drop it directly into the water if you prefer. Feed once or twice daily, offering only as much as fish can consume within several minutes. Remove any uneaten food and store the pack in a cool, dry place.
Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suits tetras, barbs, gouramis, angelfish, rainbowfish, swordtails, guppies and other tropical community fish. Not intended as a dedicated bottom-feeder food – use Insectivore Bottom Tablets for corydoras, loaches and plecos instead.
Storage
Store sealed, in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Goes well with
Pairs with Insectivore Bottom Tablets where the same tank also holds bottom-dwelling scavengers, and with Insectivore Algae Wafer if plecos or other grazers share the aquarium.
Warranty and delivery
Covered by the consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law in addition to any manufacturer undertakings. Ships as a standard, ambient dry good with no special freight handling required.
Common questions
Does the tablet actually stick to glass, or does it need pressing hard?
A gentle press below the waterline is enough – pressing it against clean glass for a couple of seconds lets it hold until fish graze it off.
Can I still use it if I don't want anything stuck to the glass?
Yes – it drops and sinks like a normal tablet if you'd rather feed it loose.
Why does it contain colourants E124 and E172?
They intensify the tablet's visual appeal; they're not required for nutrition and don't change palatability.
Will it mark or stain the glass?
No – it dissolves as fish graze it and leaves no residue once the tank is cleaned normally.
