Two automatic feeds a day while you're away. The Nutrafin Nutra-Matic is a battery-powered automatic fish feeder that dispenses flake, granule or small pellet food twice a day, roughly every 12 hours, so fish are fed on a set schedule during a weekend away or a longer trip. It mounts to the aquarium rim or sits free-standing, and fits inside some canopies.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for freshwater and marine tanks fed on dry flake, granule or small pellet food, and for trips of a few days.
Not suitable for frozen or gel food, or as a sole feeding method over long absences without someone checking in.
Care and maintenance
Empty and dry the hopper between trips so leftover food doesn't go stale or clump in the anti-humidity door mechanism.
Safety
Battery-powered, not mains-powered. Keep it away from splash and direct spray from filter returns so the door mechanism doesn't jam.

The manufacturer rates a full dispenser for 5 to 10 fish for up to 3 days.
Do the batteries come with it?
No — it takes 2 AA batteries, sold separately.
