Vortech MP10 Foam Guards Pack of 3
A curious shrimp or a fry that wanders too close to a powerhead rarely gets a second chance. This genuine EcoTech Marine pack of three foam guards fits over the VorTech MP10 wet side, creating a soft barrier that keeps small fish, shrimp, snails and food debris away from the propeller while still letting water flow through freely.
Key features
- Purpose-fitted for the MP10 wet side – shaped specifically to the MP10's intake, not a generic foam disc.
- Protects small livestock – stops fry, shrimp and snails being drawn into the propeller.
- Keeps debris out – reduces food particles and detritus clogging the intake.
- Pack of 3 – enough spares to replace a worn guard without a separate order.

Care and maintenance
How often should the guard be replaced?

Common questions
Will this fit my MP40 or MP60?
No – it's shaped specifically for the MP10 wet side. Order the MP40 or MP60 foam guard pack for those pumps.
Does the guard reduce flow much?
It's an open-cell foam designed to let water pass freely while still screening out fish, shrimp and larger debris.
Is it reef safe?
Yes – it's an inert foam intended to sit in the water column indefinitely, with no impact on water chemistry.
