Vortech MP60 Foam Guards Pack of 2
A foam cover that keeps small animals and debris away from the MP60 propeller. This pack of two genuine EcoTech Marine foam guards fits over the wet side (the part of a VorTech pump that sits inside the aquarium, holding the propeller) of a VorTech MP60. EcoTech says the foam guard can be used so delicate marine animals do not get caught in the nozzle, and EcoTech's Australian distributor describes it as stopping debris, food particles and even tiny fish from getting in and clogging the pump.

Suitable for, and not suitable for
Suitable for MP60 owners with small fish, shrimp or other delicate animals in the tank. Not suitable for the MP10 or MP40, which have their own foam guards (MP10 pack of three, part MP214, and MP40 pack of three, part MP145, both listed on our store).
Care
Foam traps debris, so rinse the guard whenever you clean the pump. EcoTech recommends cleaning the wet side every 6 to 8 weeks, or as needed. Replace the guard once it is torn or breaking down.
